This portlet met a use case for one of our clients and we hope you enjoy it.

The basic premise is that the portal has many different workflows
that some users need visibility on.  When objects move from state
to state, users need to know how many are pending when they log in.

The portlet will show all worklists and the numbers of objects in
the worklist's defined workflow state, in a portlet.  The UI
links the worklist text to whatever you might set in the Worklist
definition.

Here's a brief example:
